First Dream

FIRST DREAM is a collection of dance, music, poetry, and virtual reality film built around the layering of realities.

Drawing from footage filmed in Mexico and Guatemala, the work moves between landscape, performance, memory, dream, and literary history, allowing each layer to bleed into the next.

The project is based on “Primero Sueño” by the 17th-century poet Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, using her meditation on consciousness, knowledge, and dreaming as a structure for a contemporary immersive work.
